I am a Canadian librarian and book blogger currently living in Washington State with my husband, our cats, and a lot of books. I started blogging in 2012 after my husband and I moved to the Seattle area for his job, while I was (not so) patiently waiting for a work visa. I like books so much I got not one but two degrees in them; a BA in English (UNBC, 2010), and an MLIS (UAlberta, 2012). When I’m not reading, I enjoy biking, walks, book to film adaptations. I returned to library work in 2015, but by then I liked book blogging so much I decided to keep at it. I also lead an adult book group, and run the charity book sale at my local library.
New posts usually go up Tuesdays and Thursdays, generally fiction on Tuesdays, and non-fiction on Thursdays. You can get updates on new posts by following Required Reading on Twitter or subscribing by email in the footer at the bottom of this page. You can also find me on Goodreads or Pinterest. I read eclectically, but you’ll find lots of Speculative Fiction and Young Adult here, as well as plenty of Canadian titles, and books about books.
